Tips For The HCG Diet

by Stephanie

Your weight is the result of many factors affecting your lifestyle. These factors may include the way your body changes food into energy. You can take different steps to prevent or treat obesity and overweight problems. All you need to do is to follow a healthy eating plan and keep your calorie intake in mind.

One famous diet protocol is the HCG diet plan or the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. This hormone is present in both men and women but is greatly produced by pregnant females. During pregnancy, the hormone controls the woman’s metabolic function. When injected or taken inside the body, the HCG hormone increases metabolism and converts stored fats into an energy source. This diet consists of a very low calorie diet. There are three phases for this diet, the phase one or the loading stage, phase two which is the maintenance stage and phase three known as the stabilization stage.

The loading stage allows you to eat high calorie foods. You have to load huge amount of calories, as much as you can as this abnormal fat reserves will prepare the body to combat in the low calorie days. You are allowed to eat anything from fried chicken, pork, pizza, burger, beef pies, chocolate, rice and macaroni to your hearts content.

Force feeding is very important in this stage of the diet as this encourages the hypothalamus to burn more fats even after the loading days. The main purpose of this stage is to reduce cravings, hunger pangs and other symptoms of withdrawal that you will most likely experience during the first few days of calorie restriction. Phase one will generally last for two days.

Simple ways to consider during this phase are:

1.     Drinking a lot of water helps.

Water plays an important role in the body. You need to hydrate yourself with at least 3-5 gallons of water during this phase of the HCG diet. Drinking water helps remove toxins out of your body.

2.     Exercise and sweat it all out.

During the loading stage, it is very helpful to your diet if you sweat yourself out and do a little exercise. You can start by walking for at least one hour every day. You can also take your dog out for a walk in your neighborhood every morning. By doing this, you will be preparing your body for the next phase of the diet.

3.     Eat healthy all the time.

Even if the first phase allows you to eat anything, try to consider foods that are high in health benefits. An apple or breadfruit a day for the first two days of the loading stage of the program will not only promise to help you lose weight but can also keep you fit.

Being overweight and obese means carrying excessive body fats that can become a threat to your life.  Over time, it will conclude an increased risk of developing various health problems. Considering special diet plan may be the best remedy to go over weight and obesity problems.

I am almost done with my phase 2 and notice that lately I get more hunger pang and not losing as much weigh as I did before. Before everyday I would lose from 1.5lbs to 1lb everyday. Lately even though I stayed on the strict diet and protocol sometimes I wouldn’t lose any or maybe on .5 – 1lb max. Is this normal? Is my body getting immune to the hcg? Is that why I am not losing the weigh as fast and feel the hunger more? I am only doing it for 30 days to lose 20lbs which is my goal. I’ve lost 15lb already, but the last 5lbs is so hard to get rid. Can I still continue to lose weigh once I am in the maintenance phase if I remain on a strict diet and also doing some exercising as well? Please advice! Thanks!

The closer you get to the end of a round or closer to your goal the slower you will lose. Just the facts of weight loss. Check your diet and make sure you are doing everything 100% correctly. Get a coach to look over your diet log. I’m sure you’re OK though. Just keep going strong.

What happens if you eat or drink something your not suppose to on the diet, do you have to start all over?

You get right back on track. Why would you have to start over? Just learn the lesson and move on. No one is perfect.

Where is the list of meats, veggies and fruits that I can have on the diet. I saw where you briefly touched on it, but I am looking for a list so that I won’t eat or buy the wrong things. And where do I find who you purchased your product from. I want to switch because the people that I used has not done a great job with coaching me. They shipped me my product with no instructions at all. I have done 1 round and have lost 11.4 pounds. Who do you use? Please be specific.

go to the main page of this site, the homepage, and you’ll see who I use. They will coach you every step of the way. And they will also give you that detailed list of foods you are looking for.

I did not see turkey mentioned in any of the ‘eat’ or ‘don’t eat’ lists.
Is turkey allowable on the diet? The leanest beaf I can get is
10% fat, but turkey I can get at 7% fat.

Nope, turkey isn’t allowed. Get chicken breast and also use the white fish.

Why can’t you take the injections while on your period?

Injections are weird, that’s why I don’t use them. I use an oral product because you can use them on your period and don’t have to worry about it.
